One must have a sense of humor about....and thankfully these people do. I introduce you to Let's Panic!. So far it reminds me of "The Onion", only for parenting.

Favorite thing today.

Chickens. Growing up we always raised chickens. I took a break from cleaning this afternoon and caught this documentary on PBS. It was awesome.

Im Westen nichts Neues

Everything is crazy right now.

Summer vacations, lack of summer vacations, looking for new jobs, people going, people coming....but things could be worse, and I know that. So...all quiet on the western front.

At least (from all appearances) we don't live in Nazi Germany.

Between Friends

I am such a loser! Why am I such a loser?

Stop it or I'll kick you in the shin.

Man, I wish I wasn't so fat.....

Now you stop it!

Or what? You're going to kick me in the shin?

No, I am a pacifist......but you could maybe kick yourself.

Baptism for the Dead.

While driving home from soccer yesterday evening, a report came on NPR saying that the LDS Church had done a proxy baptism for President Obama's deceased mother. The following conversation is what followed:

Mom,what is baptism for the dead?

It is when someone stands in for someone who has died, but wasn't baptized in a religion. Mormons do this to baptize people that hadn't been baptized as Mormons.

So they dig up peoples bones and sprinkle water on them? Did they do this to Obama's mom? Did she want this done?

No, they don't dig up bones. They have a person who is alive stand in for the person who is dead, and they are baptized for them.

Whaaaaaaaaa???!!! What if they don't want to be baptized??! What if they wanted to be their own religion, or no religion??!!! THIS MAKES ME SOOOO MAD.

If you have more questions, you should talk to D about it. He knows much more than I do. I think that the Mormons are just doing what they think is right. And if we don't believe the same thing that they believe, then how are they harming us by saying our name and taking a bath?

I don't think I want to talk about it. I am too mad.

I've got an idea...

Let's all just settle down for a minute and indulge in a little Scout Niblett.

That's better.
